Which intake would be the best for me?

Intakes for International Students in Canada

Most institutions in Canada have three main intakes or class start date: fall, winter, and spring/summer. Depending on the college/ university and the field of study, the number of intakes may vary.

Fall Intake – September, October, November, December

Also known as September Intake, this intake is a primary intake where most institutes in Canada offer the largest number of seats available. The widest range of program options may be available for students seeking admission in September.

Winter/ Spring Intake – January, February, March, April

This intake is commonly called January intake and in many ways, Starting usually in the first or second week of January. The deadlines for applications for winter/January intake are usually much in advance.

Spring/Summer Intake – May, June, July, August

Summer intake in Canada is also known as May Intake. This is usually the smallest intake, and the summer term is a scheduled break for many programs in Canada.
